Will Manafort Sing Like a Canary?

According to The New York Times former Trump campaign manager and associate, Paul Manafort, has been given notice by the Mueller team that he is going to be indicted. Indicted for what, who knows? Well, I assume Mueller's sleuths and Manafort know but the rest of us will have to wait.

Now it seems that the FBI was wiretapping Manafort both during the campaign and after Trump's triumph.

It's now also come out that, when the FBI raided Manafort's home while he slept, they didn't bang on the front door, they picked the lock and swarmed in. Now that's a curious thing for a guy of Manafort's wealth and stature. You might confuse Manafort with Al Capone.

So what's behind Robert Mueller's full court press on Manafort? The special counsel is probably pressuring Manafort to start talking about things they know he knows about.

Maybe if Trump can wrap things up early at the United Nations he'll have time to give Manafort the Arpaio Absolution

Picked the lock?! I know that's what the NYT is reporting, but really? In Canada, these kinds of nighttime "kinetic entry" raids involve a battering ram and flashbangs to stun residents and avoid the loss of evidence down the toilet. At least, so I'm told.

Sounds like Mueller is starting to play rough.

Meanwhile Trump appears at the UN desperately seeking a distraction.
The danger being just how far will he go to deflect attention from himself?

TB, I'm afraid there's no danger of Trump trying to deflect attention from himself. The man's a narcissist, he craves attention like a man in the desert craves water.

It's difficult for most of us to follow this Russia business. First of all, most of it is highly confidential. Nobody, including the media, is privy to what's going on. Snippets come out and that's all we get. Trump inevitably blurts out details when he flies off the handle but I don't put much stock in anything he says.

What we do know is Robert Mueller's past and his reputation. We also know the team of top-tier investigative prosecutors, 17 to date, he has in his team. That's a pretty impressive wolf pack. You don't get that talent if you're on a fishing expedition. If you're Paul Manafort or Michael Flynn you don't take your personal exposure lightly.

I've been following the Russian connections from the beginning, as it seemed treasonous, or at least criminal. Could you please provide some links and commentary on one--FELIX SATER? I've been reading some history, tonight, and evidently he works for the most dangerous mob boss in the world- a Russian, and coincidentally, has been employed as a Senior Advisor to DJT.

Funny how that works, eh? We certainly don't know what the Feds have, but we can reasonably connect dots, no? The past catches up with all of us, for better or worse- Sater is quoted as saying "I know the President and I are going to jail."

Thanks.

And such is life.
Those with an interest of current events are influenced by what they perceive as reliable sources or hours of digging within the WWW.
Add to this the current (or perhaps old) phenomenon of fake news and it takes effort to make informed decisions and at the end of the day they too may be wrong.Taking the MSM at it's word could, I think, result in mass depression or worse.
Sorting it out the best we can should! result in nothing worse than "shit, fancy that!!

LALI - if you search this blog there are three posts in which you'll find links to Sater and his compadres.

I just finished reading them and find myself in complete agreement with you. Right down to the "Killery" comment. I always stop reading at that, too.

Salute, for your due diligence.

LALI.
