The New York Times is reporting that another oil rig has exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. The explosion was reported by a passing helicopter. Rescue helicopters, aircraft and ships are heading to the site.
The rig is not believed to have been in production and all crew members are said to have gotten away safely.
